ENERGY COMMISSION


PURPOSE: To protect and promote the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens, businesses and institutions of Evanston, it is necessary to participate in the planning and improvement of electrical service in Evanston to insure reliable and competitive service. Members of the Commission will listen to citizens' concerns. (49-0-93) (103-0-93).

 

MEMBERS: 11 appointed by the Mayor.
QUALIFICATIONS: Members must be familiar with the electrical energy industry, must have engineering and financing experience, must be familiar with the regulation of the electrical energy industry. Members must be residents of the City or work in the City.
TERM: Six (6) members shall be appointed for four-year terms. Five (5) members shall be appointed two-year terms. All members thereafter shall be appointed for four-year terms, and may serve no more than two terms.
MEETING DATE: Monthly, 7:15 a.m. (the second Friday of each month)
PLACE: Civic Center - Room 2404
