The City of Evanston's Cultural Arts Division staff manages two of the City's most popularsummer festivals: the Evanston Lakeshore Arts Festival and the Evanston Ethnic Arts Festival, as well as the free Starlight Concert Series held at various parks every summer. Several summer arts camps for youth and teens are held at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center and at local schools.
Each winter the Mayor's Award for the Arts are announced. The latest winners are Margherita Andreotti and Shorefront (recognized for service in 2008). In addition, the Evanston Arts Council’s Arts & Business Committee named Romano Brothers & Co. in Evanston as the recipient of its annual Leadership Award.
