Bike the Ridge
Sunday, October 4, 2009, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Evanston bicyclists will once again have the opportunity to ride on Ridge Avenue from Howard St. to Church St. Ridge Avenue will be closed to ALL vehicular traffic from Howard to Church Streets from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

BIKE
Bike Ridge Avenue from Howard Street to Church Street and back again or anywhere in the middle.
- Children under 14 can decorate their bike and receive a prize.
- Children under 18 are required to wear bike helmets per City ordinance.
VOLUNTEER
Help keep people safe and oversee barricaded streets. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Anjana Hansen at anjanahansen@comcast.net. Volunteers will receive a coupon for a free meal at Wiener and Still Champion.
CELEBRATE
Join Mayor Elizabeth B. Tisdahl as she leads us in the ride at 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of Ridge Ave. and Howard St.
CHEER
Non-bicyclists can walk along the sidewalks of Ridge Avenue and support the bicyclists.
VISIT
People will be able to visit with organizations and clubs selling snacks and providing services at the following locations: Ridgeville Park (corner of Seward Street and Ridge Avenue), Alexander Park (corner of Grove Street and Ridge Avenue) and Grey Park (corner of Main Street and Ridge Avenue). Ice cream and hot dogs will be available for purchase.
