Proposed Fiscal Year 2025 Budget

On Friday, October 4, 2024, City of Evanston staff published the Fiscal Year 2025 Proposed Budget. The City's 2025 fiscal year covers the period from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. The proposed budget includes revenues (excluding operating transfers and use of fund balance) of $319,075,774 and expenses (excluding operating transfers) of $342,151,643. Inclusive of operating transfers and use of fund balance, revenues total $360,205,961 and expenses total $398,934,953.

The City is pleased to present the FY 2025 Proposed Budget using ClearGov digital budget book software, which provides a budget book that is optimized for online viewing.

Adopted Fiscal Year 2024 Budget

On Monday, December 11, 2023 the Evanston City Council adopted the FY 2024 budget in a unanimous vote. The City's 2024 fiscal year covers the period from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024. The original proposed budget, included $449,008,728 in expenses and $424,540,616 in revenues. With approved changes, expenses have been reduced to $438,416,120 and revenues to $415,125,508.
