The Collector's Office administers Business Licenses. An Evanston Business License permits an individual or entity to engage in business activities for a profit within the City of Evanston, and is required to conduct such a business within city limits.
Health and Human Services administers Food Establishment Licenses. An Evanston Food Establishment License is required for any operation that includes any food service, food processing or food delivery operations. In the majority of cases, if a Food Establishment license is required, the Business License is not required.
